Taking the tarp off the logs, which came all the way from Bangor Maine. 

The logs are precut,  identified on the end.  The house is put together like a puzzle.

1/5/03  This walk-out basement will eventually become our in  home shop and packing area.

Every log that goes down has to be checked for level. Note the weather stripping between logs.

2/7/03 The second floor has begun!  It will be log, so the first order of business is to carry the logs to the second floor

2/15/03 The second floor is going up.  The first floor has to be shoveled out after a 14" snowstorm.

John is laying the flooring for the second floor, then covering it with plywood to protect it. 

3/1/03 The trusses went up one day, the roof was started the next.  It's starting to look like a house!

4/9/03 Michele makes the final measurement for the kitchen cabinets.

Daughter Erin helps lay the tile in the kitchen.

Three weeks after they were ordered, the kitchen cabinets are going up.
